Mike Kropf is the Lead Photographer at The Richmond Times-Dispatch in Richmond, Virginia. His freelance clients include The Associated Press, Getty Images, multiple Division I universities, and a number of local media outlets.
Previously the Staff Photographer at The Daily Progress and the University Photographer at Longwood University, he has covered events, sports, and politics at every level.
He has won 33 Virginia Press Association awards since 2019 including "Best In Show" in 2020.
With a bachelor's degree in photography, his work has been featured by The Washington Post, The New York Times, U.S. News & World Report, the NCAA, CBS, Bleacher Report, Richmond Times-Dispatch, The Virginian-Pilot, The Daily Progress, The Free Lance-Star, C-VILLE Weekly, Charlottesville Tomorrow, The Farmville Herald and others.
